The Breakers Lacrosse Club in Pasadena, CA was completely devastated by the recent wildfires, leaving their community in crisis. Among those affected was Wyatt, a 3rd grader, I was connected with who played for The Breakers. Wyatt lost his home and all of his possessions, including a cherished Halloween family photo that sat beside his bed, all of his recent Christmas presents and his prized lacrosse stick.
When the fire approached his school, he and his sister had to flee, catching a ride from his teacher in his pickup truck as embers fell from the sky.
Now, his family is renting, longing for their community. Wyatt has a new perspective and shared that with his dad when they went out for ice cream recently, "When you lose your home, you start to cherish the little things."
Palisades Youth Lacrosse has always been about more than just the game, it is about resilience, confidence, and community. With 200 families displaced, they need your support to help their young athletes continue playing the sport they love as well as rebuilding their lives.
Please donate to Evan Tepper's Palisades Lacrosse Club Fundraiser. The money raised will be used to purchase the swag pictured in the link for Wyatt and as many of his teammates as possible. Please consider donating today, every contribution makes a difference.
